Learn the Alphabet with Interactive Cards and Games - 2 Downloadable Books Complete with Teaching Instructions
Product Details

You too can teach your child to read!

Our downloadable alphabet books are the precursor to our "A Good Start Reading" program. These downloadable books are included for free when you purchase our full "A Good Start Reading" program. However, if you purchased our program on Amazon or Etsy, or simply need a standalone aid to teach the alphabet, we have included them for purchase separately here.

"A Good Start" is designed to be the beginning foundation that your child needs to become a strong reader, writer, and speller. It may be used prior to the instructional books and resources in your homeschool program or alongside your homeschool program. "A Good Start" was created to give parents a program to jump start and unlock their child's understanding of how we learn to read, as well as an instructional guide for teaching beginning reading.

Program Details

The program begins with downloadable Book A and Book B to teach children the letters of the alphabet. In Book A, "Learning About the Alphabet", you will teach beginning readers about the uppercase and lowercase alphabet letter names and to associate each letter with a corresponding picture.

In Book B, "Learning More About the Alphabet", you will teach beginning readers about the sound each letter of the alphabet makes through the use of memorable graphics.

Upon completion of Book B, children move into Book 1: Short "a" Words (sold separately) and move sequentially through Books 1-5 to master new words with each vowel pattern.

Frequently Asked Questions about "A Good Start Reading"

  1. Will I really be able to teach my child to read with "A Good Start Reading"? Yes, you will! Our signature program teaches you how to teach beginner readers in an easy-to-follow, fun, repetitive format with precise directions.
  2. How is "A Good Start Reading" different from other reading programs? Often, many other reading programs move too quickly, causing confusion and discouragement. "A Good Start Reading" moves ahead at a slow, repetitive pace so new readers have time to assimilate previous learning before moving on. You as the teacher can adjust the pace determined by your child's ability to grasp and retain the lessons presented. Like learning any new skill, new readers need time and repetition to learn to read.
  3. Should "A Good Start Reading" Books 1-5 be taught in order? Yes, each book builds on the knowledge taught in the previous book.
  4. How will I know if my child understands what I am teaching? Each lesson has a checklist at the end of it for you to assess your child's reading of the introduced words.
